Todd Woodbridge.
The art of the perfect partnership
A tennis player whose achievements make an especially strong case for looking at doubles as an art in its own right.
One of doubles tennis’s familiar names
Todd Woodbridge is an Australian former professional tennis player and broadcaster. With Mark Woodforde, he formed the doubles partnership known as The Woodies; he later enjoyed further major success with Jonas Björkman. His career includes 16 Grand Slam men’s doubles titles and six Grand Slam mixed doubles titles. [2]
Olympic success and a career after competition
Woodbridge and Woodforde won Olympic gold in Atlanta in 1996, adding an Olympic title to their major-tournament achievements. Woodbridge reached world No. 1 in doubles and won 83 ATP doubles titles. He later became a familiar broadcasting voice. The ATP’s official player profile provides a primary sporting reference, while the biographical source connects the competition record, honors and later media work. [2]

A separate, make-believe corner: imagined cartoons and fictional adventures, never biography or real events.
A crossing with a ribbon
Todd Woodbridge found a toy train waiting beside a river crossed by bubbles. Todd Beamer carried a ribbon medal for whoever could guide it safely across. The bubbles made a fine bridge but were not especially sturdy; every one wobbled when the train gave a hopeful toot. A duck watched from shore, wearing a conductor’s cap.
Starring Todd WoodbridgeA quiet light in the garden
In a timeless storybook garden, Todd Beamer found a paper lantern that glowed without a candle. Todd Woodbridge brought a folded map, but its dotted path ended at a drawing of a teapot. They were meant to guide a procession of fireflies to the hill, where the garden’s old bell waited for its yearly song.
