A basketball coach whose career brings together playing experience, team leadership and the analytical side of sport.
From playing basketball to coaching it
Todd Golden is a college basketball coach whose career includes playing at Saint Mary’s and professional basketball in Israel. His coaching path included staff roles at Columbia and Auburn, followed by work at the University of San Francisco. He became San Francisco’s head coach in 2019 before joining the University of Florida as head coach in 2022. [1][2]
The Florida chapter
Florida’s official biography records the Gators’ 2025 NCAA championship under Golden and describes his subsequent seasons with the program. It also supplies a year-by-year coaching timeline and team results. The path from player to assistant to head coach provides useful context for understanding the different responsibilities within basketball. For current appointments and records, the first-party Gators profile is the appropriate starting point; Wikipedia provides additional background and references. [2]

Todd Golden goes a little Toddly.
A separate, make-believe corner: imagined cartoons and fictional adventures, never biography or real events.
A lesson in the breeze
Todd Golden carried a chalkboard into the treehouse classroom, where the breeze had learned to spell “snack.” Todd Young pinned the lesson plan beneath a paperweight, but the board lifted anyway and floated out the window like a very serious kite. The students were three squirrels, each holding a pencil too large for its paws.
