THE TODDCAST · WITH TODD MICHAELThe Rooftop Guest List
Todd Chrisley’s picnic hat feather kept snapping the basket shut. Todd Blanche brought a seating chart; the pigeons ignored it and chose the sunniest tiles. One pigeon sat on the chart, making itself head of the table.
A napkin ring tamed the feather and freed the sandwiches. The pigeons bobbed approval, then left with one crumb each. The feather remained behind and demanded its own chair.
Pigeons with reservations
Todd Chrisley planned a rooftop picnic for the pigeons and wore a hat with a feather so grand it had its own shadow. Todd Blanche arrived with sandwiches and a tidy seating chart. The feather tickled the basket lid every time Todd Chrisley leaned forward, keeping the sandwiches trapped like guests who had arrived early.
Todd Blanche proposed a formal investigation of the lid. The feather wobbled, the basket clicked shut, and a pigeon inspected the chart. Todd Chrisley tied the feather into a napkin ring. The basket opened, but now the napkins were wearing a very fashionable plume and the pigeons had taken the best seats.
They served the sandwiches one by one, with the pigeons bobbing approval after every bite. Todd Blanche’s seating chart became a menu; Todd Chrisley’s hat became a centerpiece. At sunset the pigeons departed in perfect formation, carrying exactly one crumb each. The feather stayed behind, promoted to picnic host, and immediately demanded a tiny chair.
Picnic, Take Two
Todd Chrisley and Todd Blanche tried holding the basket lid open. The feather tickled Todd Chrisley’s nose, and the lid clicked shut again. A pigeon gave the seating chart a critical peck.
They tied the feather into a napkin ring. Lunch proceeded smoothly, except the feather insisted on being listed as host and got the largest sandwich.
