Todd Rundgren.
The restless art of reinvention
Singer, songwriter, producer and perennial experimenter. A career defined less by staying in a lane than by making a new one.
Songs, bands and studio work
Todd Rundgren is an American musician, songwriter, singer and record producer whose career connects pop songwriting with studio experimentation. He performed with Nazz and Utopia as well as releasing solo records. Something/Anything? and songs including Hello It’s Me are among the entry points into his catalog. His production work and performances have crossed styles rather than staying within a single narrow musical identity. [2]
A career interested in new tools
Rundgren’s work also extends into music video, interactive projects and early experiments with distributing music through the internet. His career was recognized by induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2021. The sources below give complementary ways into the work: biographical background, a first-party artist site and released recordings. Our music coverage distinguishes those existing works from the conversations imagined for The ToddCast. [2][3]

In good company.
An editorial grouping, with no affiliation implied.
Todd Rundgren goes a little Toddly.
A separate, make-believe corner: imagined cartoons and fictional adventures, never biography or real events.
Flowers like it backward
Todd Rundgren found a garden where the stepping stones were painted like piano keys. Todd Terry brought a tuning fork to wake the flowers with a melody. Every note made the tulips lean closer, but they would not open. A bee landed on the black key and buzzed a tune that sounded suspiciously like the song played backward.
